Thursday Night Home Group – Change
Because of a schedule conflict, the Thursday Night Home Group has temporarily moved to the Shelia Daniels Academy (2313 Washington, Waukegan). The starting time is still 7:00 p.m.

Church Membership
If you are not an official member of Family Life Church, this is a good time to consider joining because it will afford you the privilege of voting at the upcoming Congregational Meeting (February 15). Pastor George would be happy to explain how to become a member of Family Life Church.

Congregational Meeting February 15
The annual Congregational Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, immediately following the morning service. One important item of business will be to elect three council members. In addition, there will be considerable discussion about the purchase of the Sheila Daniels building we’ve been meeting in. Four candidates accepted the nomination of the council: Nathan Jones, Georgia Mullins, David Schleicher and Ruben Valdez. All of these have experience serving on the council. There will be a light snack served before…

Prayer for Illinois
January 29, 2009 marked a sad day for the state of Illinois ~ her first impeachment of a governor. Though some would say, “It’s finally over; now we can get on with business,” in our anxiousness to resume state government let’s not underestimate the grievousness of these events. Men’s Retreat
The men of Agape Christian Fellowship are planning their 10th annual Men’s Retreat. Our church has regularly joined them and The Sign of the Dove for this great weekend. Pastor George needs commitments and $72 from all men who are going from our church ASAP (please give checks to Pastor George, made payable to Family Life Church.) The dates are Friday and Saturday, February 20-21. The opening session is Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday there is a morning…

CareNet Collection

Just a little story about my daughter . . . she found herself quite pregnant some months ago (a single parent to two children already)! She was…

Day of Prayer
Next Saturday is WHEN WE PRAY, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Lakeland Evangelical Free Church (440 N. Hunt Club Rd. Gurnee). The days in which we live demand that God’s people PRAY! You will be glad you came, even if it is for a short time. This prayer day is timed for just prior to the inauguration of our 44th President.
