Love & War: Marriage DVD Series

LOVE & WAR SERIES   “With refreshing openness that will grab you from their first words, bestselling authors John and Stasi Eldredge candidly discuss their own marriage and the insights they’ve gained from the challenges they’ve faced.”    That is what’s in store for us, in this DVD Series from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 5.  There will be eight different sessions, over the next four months – this is something every marriage will benefit from!

“Two Kinds of People…”

“There are two kinds of people in this world — the clueless and the repentant.  Those who are open to looking at their life and those who are not.   Folks who know they need God to change them, and folks who are expecting everyone else to change.    We have great hope for the first group; the second bunch is choosing ignorance; the damage they are doing is almost unforgivable.” –John & Stasi Eldredge (from the Love & War DVD series)

Haiti Missions Trip

A Missions Trip to Haiti just for Seniors (age 55 +) is being planned by Foursquare Missions, January 19 – 28, 2011.   There will be relief work done, but it will not be extremely labor intensive.   Flying into Port au Prince, they will travel to Jacmel, Haiti, where there is an orphanage (approved as an FMI Haiti Relief project).  Days will be spent building relationships with the 32 orphans and conducting Vacation Bible Schools and other outreach events. Life Chain Pics

On Sunday, October 3, we hosted a “Life Chain” along Washington Street in Waukegan.  We held up signs (in English and Spanish) about protecting human life.  Not only were we hoping to send a message to the community but we were also silently praying for our community and country.  Thanks to everyone who participated!
