What is My Part, Lord?

Once upon a time there were four brothers who attended the same church — Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.  When the Pastor announced a “special project to help their  sister church in the Philippines” Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.    Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.  Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.  Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.  In the end, Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.  Moral of this story: Everybody ought to ask, “WHAT IS MY PART, LORD?” and then do it.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to build a new house for the pastor in TRES CRUSES, PHILIPPINES, where our church has started a church.    A new house is much needed, as the current one is very “sub-standard” and dilapidated.  This will serve as a great encouragement to Pastor Gil & Nora Barcello, who diligently minister there.   As always, we do not take away from our “tithes.”   Our missions giving (and any other special needs monies) should be over and above the giving of our tithes!   [We have already raised $4,589 – we hope to reach $7,500 by this summer.  It would be ideal to be able to build in spring of 2012.]

“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure–pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” Luke 6:38 (NASB)
