The theme is, “GREAT PROMISES”. All children ages K-5th grade are invited to this exciting program for Games, Snacks, Bible Lessons, and fun Songs! VBS will be held from 9am – 11:30am this Monday through Friday.

Our entry was almost a block long and included youngsters carrying a banner, baby strollers, worship dancers, the worship team on a float, and a convertible!

Our Float Six Years Ago

On Sunday, June 27, Family Life Church will be participating in Waukegan’s Independence Day Parade!  Similar to the parades we have done in years past, we will have a live band playing on a float in addition to people walking, riding bikes, and dancing around the float.  We will be handing out candy and information cards to the crowd.

There will be a short church service that morning at 10am, and the parade begins at 1pm.

We’re getting prepared with CASES OF CANDY to give out, DOUBLE THE AMPLIFIER POWER to rock with, THOUSANDS OF CARDS a Gospel message on them, and TONS OF HANDS  pitching in to help share Christ’s love with this city!

This weekend we commemorate all  U.S. servicemen and servicewomen who have given their lives on behalf of this nation.  We are grateful to God for their sacrifices in order that we might have the freedoms we enjoy and all-too-often take for granted.

On the weekend of April 2-4, we will be celebrating Jesus’ death and resurrection in a very special way!

On Friday, April 2, we will be participating in a community-wide Good Friday service at Cornerstone Community Church in Wadsworth, IL (MAP).  Then, on Easter Sunday Morning at 8:30am we will have a free breakfast in our gymnasium, followed by a worship service in our sanctuary at 10am.  You don’t want to miss these special events as we celebrate that HE IS ALIVE!

We’ll be converging from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin to reThink: God. Church. Self. It is a movement of young people that desire to follow Christ through their interests, desires and individual identity.

The 2010 reThink (un)conference begins on Friday, March 19 at 8pm and ends on Sunday, March 21 at noon. The reThink (un)conference will meet at Camp Hickory (Ingleside, IL). The 2 day and 2 night weekend getaway will include lodging, 3 meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. If you register before March 1, 2010 you’ll receive the early bird price for only $79. Otherwise the regular ReThink (un)conference price will be $89.
